Digitalisation: Challenges and opportunities in transforming the Pharma and

Vishnu Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (VIPER) has now
completed 11 years of existence and commitment to excellence in Pharmacy
Education. VIPER is accredited by NBA, NAAC, recognised by DSIR and only
Pharmacy College with both NAAC & NBA accreditation in the state of Telangana.

Life-science industries produce a great deal of complex, noisy and
unstructured data. When only descriptive analytics tools are applied, valuable
insights are missed. This seminar will explore the use of Artificial Intelligence in a
variety of contexts and applications as they address a critical objective to capture the
full value of the massive amounts of distributed data that are produced in the
pharmaceutical and healthcare-related industries.
We brought together Global Artificial Intelligence, IT and Informatics Experts
from leading pharmaceutical and technology companies to give strategic and
visionary talks based on use cases throughout the pharmaceutical and Healthcare

Aushadh 2K19 was organised in collaboration with MHRD‘s innovation
cell,Govt of India and Indian pharmaceutical association (IPA). Dr.Rao V. S. V.
Vadlamudi, President, Common wealth Pharmacists Association (CPA) was the chief
guest for the event. He addressed on proper use of mobiles for studying or acquiring
knowledge. He also added to use disruptive technology and pension technology by
the faculty to enlighten students with innovative technologies. This type of
conferences brings out hidden talents and skills in students.The guest of honour
were Dr.Venkat Reddy. He spoke on opportunities in Telangana region for pharmacy
students. Srihari Kaninghat was the speaker on the day of event. He delivered
lecture on digitalisation and its application in Pharma industries .Another speaker
was Dr.D.Lakshmi, Scientific educational officer ,VEDIC. She threw light on different
Apps and softwares which can be helpful for students to explore their knowledge and
learn new concepts using smart technologies.

The total participants were around 745.Of which, 145 students presented
posters and orals from 21 colleges of various states like Telangana, Andhra
Pradesh, Karnataka and so on. Cash reward was presented to students who
excelled in their presentation (poster and oral).First prize was won by Riya Sharma
of Rs.5000/- from G.Pulla reddy college of pharmacy, Second prize was won by
Anusha (Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Pharmacy) of Rs.3000/- and third prize
woth Rs.1000/-was won by three members named Hemalatha(Swami Vivekananda
college of pharmacy), Manya (VIPER) and Abdul Hassan (Suthan -Ul -Uloom
College of Pharmacy)
